Guadeloupe is an archipelago comprising of five sets of islands. The two main islands of Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre, connected by a bridge. There are other smaller islands of Marie-Galante, La Désirade and Les Saintes.
Les Saintes, is a half-hour ferry ride from Trois-Rivières, Basse-Terre, to Terre-de-Haut, the main islet in Les Saintes. Le Bourg is a quaint little town, with a dock for inter-island traffic, red-roofed houses and narrow cobblestone or concrete roads. An overview of Les Saintes Bay from Napoléon Fort, gives the perfect postcard photo of what could be the most beautiful bay in the world.
